Harris Tweed and tartan headcovers made to order in Fife — plus RAF flight suits and Augusta coveralls cut into covers.
Fyfe Golf makes headcovers that come from somewhere specific. Every cover is cut, lined and sewn to order in a workshop in Fife, Scotland, in Harris Tweed, Scottish tartan and waxed canvas from Dundee. Several times a year the material is something that used to be a different object entirely: an RAF flight suit, a caddie's coverall from Augusta, a deck chair or the sail cloth off a yacht on the west coast.
Neil Rennie started Fyfe in November 2021 after years of walking into Scottish pro shops and finding nothing in them that had anything to do with Scotland. He came out of fashion rather than golf, so he already knew which mills still wove cloth and how to reach them. Fyfe names its mills, which is rarer than it sounds. The Arran Harris Tweed cover at £65 (~$87) is the everyday version of the idea.
The Harris Tweed covers are the reason to know the brand, the tartans are the ones people ask about, and the reclaimed runs are where it gets interesting. Those usually sell out inside a week. Fyfe has also made a long run of collaborations with MacKenzie, the Oregon bag maker, and it appears on our 25 Best Independent Golf Brands list.

The Profile

Work at Fyfe Golf? This coverage is independent and always will be, but if you want to talk about sending product, a sponsored Field Note or something longer, here is how that works.
