About Read The Green

Read The Green makes good golf hats first, and everything else has had to earn its place. The New York brand began as three words shouted at a buddy who missed the pin on a miniature golf course, and four lifelong friends turned the joke into a hat and apparel label that moves between the course and the city without a costume change.

The Founder's Cap at $47 is the signature: a five-panel corduroy cap with embroidered details and a custom interior lining most people never see. The '97 Vintage Pullover is the piece that put RTG on the map, a lightweight nylon layer with rib-knit cuffs and a drawstring waist. The Grounds Crew Jacket and an oversized knit sweater push the line upmarket, while the Varsity Crewneck and Club Tee keep it accessible.

Prices run from $40 to $150. Cody Bellinger, Jasson Domínguez and Lexie Hull all wear it, but the brand still feels like it belongs to the weekend golfer who cares what he puts on. We profiled Read The Green in our Brand to Know series and included it in our jersey polo edit.
