The Mackenzie Club: A 33,000-Sq-Ft Private Indoor Golf Club Is Coming to West Lake Hills
Dave Rogenmoser spent a decade building online startups. Now he's building a three-story, 33,000-square-foot private golf and social club in West Lake Hills — and he named it after Alister MacKenzie, because of course he did. Eight Trackman simulator bays, a PuttView putting lab, outdoor short-game greens with Hill Country views, a chef-driven restaurant, wellness studio with sauna and cold plunge, and a pro shop. Michael Hsu is doing the architecture. Membership is application-based with a vetting process — "culture matters more than anything we're building, but we're not exclusive for the sake of being exclusive." Opening late 2026. Waitlist at mackenzieclub.com.
The bucket hat is having its quiet moment on the course — no logos screaming from the crown, no performance fabric monologues on the hang tag. Just a wide brim, some shade, and the vague suggestion that you know what you're doing out there. Manors' Greenskeeper is recycled fabric with a wide brim that matches their jacket. Malbon covers the range from a clean $58 script logo to the reversible Velasco at $88. Students Golf went full boonie with a screen-printed marble camo that shouldn't work but does. And Birds of Condor — the Australian brand that treats golf hats like an art form — brings the Swing Kings reversible, a corduroy Rage, and the Fore Tiger. Four brands, eight hats, zero visors.

Rob Junge designed exactly one shirt, put a hidden tee holder in the chest pocket, and called it a golf brand. The whole operation reads like a greenkeeper who reads design blogs: practical first, considered second, and loud about neither. The mock neck heavyweight work shirt — 17.5 oz cotton, made in LA — is the kind of garment that makes you wonder why anyone ever thought polyester was the answer to anything. The hats come with a pencil holder and an actual pencil, because this is the rare brand that remembers you need to write things down on a golf course. Twelve SKUs total, three categories, zero hype — a catalog so small it fits on a scorecard, which is probably the point.

Gumtree Golf & Nature Club teamed with PUMA on the Field Notes collection, which is what happens when a brand that hand-sews headcovers from vintage fishing waders meets a company that makes sneakers for Rickie Fowler. The capsule includes polos and gear built around Gumtree's nature-first ethos. Two percent of every Gumtree purchase still goes toward pulling CO₂ out of the atmosphere, which is at least one stroke better than most of us manage on a par 3.

Manors Club Collection Spring 2026
Manors · The Club Collection.
Polartec hoodies, packable Highland pullovers, and the wavy Ranger Polo in a full-garment print for the first time. The whole line reads like a private members' club that lost its membership committee. Traditional without the gatekeeping, which is a trick most brands cannot pull off.

Eastside Golf — This Was Never Just About The Game
Eastside Golf · "More Than Just a Game."
Eastside's new collection threads the needle between on-course and off-course without pretending the line ever existed. The Boxford Shirt could go to dinner; the Shatter Print Windshirt was built for 6:30 AM tee times when April can't decide what it wants to be. Ajanaku and Cooper keep building a wardrobe, not a hype cycle.

Jason Day in Malbon's Birds of Georgia jacket at the 2026 Masters
Augusta told Jason Day to lose the bird pants.
Malbon's "Birds of Georgia" collection — scarlet tanagers, cardinals, blue jays, the works — was supposed to be a full head-to-toe look. Augusta National said solid pants only. Stephen Malbon's been texting Day bird sounds for six months: "If you know the sounds of birds, you'll make more birdies."

Vuori taps Tom Holland — and leads with golf.
Spider-Man is a golf guy now. Vuori's "The Rise. The Shine." campaign puts Holland front and center in the Aim Pant, teeing off alongside their travel and training lines. The golf play is intentional — and the Aim Pant might be the move for anyone who wants stretch without the golf-brand logo.
[Field Notes] Twilight on the fairway at Hancock Golf Course
Solo twilight at Hancock, a Tuesday.
Hancock at 6 p.m. on a Tuesday. Just me and the live oaks and a three-quarter seven-iron I keep trying to trust. Shadows long enough to make every putt look uphill. Finished before dark, didn't keep score.
