Six golf tees. All of them cost more than the fast-food lunch you grabbed on the way to the course. And somehow, every one of them makes a case for why the upgrade is real.
Flightpath's Diamond Tee ($23 for eight) is polycarbonate, diamond-shaped, and packaged in a matchbox — the aerodynamics pitch actually holds up under testing. Bird Darts went bamboo at $6.99 for 18. Western Birch hand-paints striped birch tees. Lignum machines micro-sized wooden tees in Germany. Green Swing does sustainable bamboo. And Brimz Supply made cigarette-shaped tees called Tee Box Smokes ($12.99 for 10), which is either genius or unhinged depending on your sense of humor. The humble golf tee got interesting when nobody was looking.
